Same bike, different frame:

I just sold this frame in order to upgrade to a carbon HT frame that’s in the mail; it’s was an '07 S-Works HT frame, custom modified to accept a C-dale Lefty fork, and then pimped out with white grips and a white Arione Tri saddle (hey, it is off-road tri right?? seriously though, they serve as a badass mtb saddle). This pic is an old one, from when it had just been built:

I’ll post another picture when I build the new bike!
I don’t think of this as pjorn, but a workman like build. Niner hardtails just might be the perfect Xterra ride. Quick handling and stable at high speeds, climbs like a billy goat and roars downhill like it’s on rails. Mt bike du in two weeks; I’m ready!

Lookin’ for a gig at a shop to purchase a 29’er HT on EP…then I can show you all 18 inches!
I guess there are only three of us.
made right here in the U.S.A.

The Works (raw) finish is awesome.

They’ve been posted here before and both have new owners. I’m hoping to get another mtn bike in the next couple of months so I can start racing Xterras and Mtn bike races again.
Had this for a couple of years

And did replaced it with this…

Both rolling 700cm wheels. I just broke in the Moots with the first Xterra a couple of weeks ago.
Tell me all about your Moots and the YBB system. I am quite curious about it. I use a Thudbuster suspension post and can see where the YBB could be better. Can it be tuned? Dampened? I am moving up to 29 as soon as I can. David K
What made you sell the Alma?
I will either race this one:

Or this one:

.
Very jealous of both! Nice rides.
This is my baby. Gotta go 29er!
YBB is an optional spring or air shock. I got the spring and have found no need to tune or go air w/ the 1.5" travel.
With the 29" hoops it is just enough to keep the power on the pedals and tire on the ground while climbing, bumpy fire roads, etc. What can I say…its a moots ![]()
-also - the Alma - Didnt sell the Alma but I broke off 7 derailleur hangers in the two years I was riding it(maybe just me or my frame?). The Alma is fast/stiff and great racing also but will now be a SS for me. The Moots should be reliable enough for some of the endurance mtb, adventure racing and all day epic’s on the schedule!
Does my XTR equipped Pedalforce HT count as Xterra Porn:

That is incredibly hot!
Last year’s ride…

Just picked up a Titus Hammerhead Racer X 100. Hopefully will have it built up next week for pics.
how were these carbon hard tails ? Were they easily sub 20 lb bikes like a bunch I had seen ?
