yeah, it’s just over a week away, and you roadie heads are probably sick of me talking about off-road stuff, but… who’s going? i’m planning on being there (phil gregory 20-24 age group) along w/ a lady friend (former g/f, prob will be again soon) and my dog (black lab w/ white paw). who else will be there?
also, what bike are you racing and what sort of set-up? i’m heading down this weekend to try to pre-ride some of the course. i’m pretty sure i’ll be running Serac XC w/ a 1.95 tread width (tho i may run 2.1). i’m racing on a trek fuel 90.
Done the course a number of times but this years will be different than other’s…Conditions have been extremely dry here for the past month and the long range forecast doesn’t call for any significant rain. So the course will be dry and fast. Heat will be a factor and the river is running low and will drop further as race date approches. If it keeps up you could just about walk the swim course.
I will be there and super psyched for the new course. It will be one lap now so no need to worry about passing folks on your second lap. Currently riding Panaracer Fire xc’s but I will be trying out some new Schwalbe tires before the race. (Salsa HT) Mark Cockrell M 25-29.
