So I’m guessing there are no atheists in South Dakota. The best parts to this are, 1) it is mandated by the state but they won’t pay to have the work completed and 2) “Lawmakers who proposed the law believe the quote will inspire patriotism.”

My guess is at best it will inspire neither religiosity or patriotism, at worse, derision.
Stenciling the motto cost a total of about $2,800 in Rapid City schools, she said.

The governor ran a smear campaign against the out going attorney general, who could not defend his position on cases as much of them were sealed from the public.
