WTF Comcast took Versus away

One of the 3 stations I watch with basic cable, all of a sudden I stopped getting it. No warning, nothing, they switched it from basic to a digital package. Now to get VS I need to spend 40 more dollars per month. On the plus side, my rate went down, a whole freaking penny. Bastards

Any other ways I can watch the big races without shelling out a bunch of dough for stations I won’t watch?

PS, I need to see the Tour of Cali. Love that race, it’s like the opening of spring training for me

I think you’re misunderstanding the nature of your relationship with cable tv. They’re doing you a favor by allowing you to buy their service. As a result, they don’t really feel they need to listen to complaints…

sorry to hear it dude, don’t know what to say. we’ve got the sports package on direct tv, but that’s got its own issues too.

Free yourself from the shackles of cable tv. Ditch it. Then you can use that money to buy more beer, or at least that’s what I did.

Now I drink a 4 per night instead of 2. It’s 100% more beer but 1000% better quality of living.

That’s exactly what I did - and the extra sleep I get compensates for the extra beer drinking!

Tell Comcast to take a hike and watch the stuff on the internet. I was paying $80+ for HD and DVR and really crappy quality. They switched my cable box and tried to charge me for it. I got them to cancel the charge and then dropped them. I get HD over the air with a new DTV cable box I got free with a coupon, joined Netflix and watch the cable series I like on my laptop. I save over $60 a month, watch much less TV and am very happy. Hopefull I will be able to see the Giro on RAI website or something. I know I will miss all the great coverage on Verses- oh wait, they don’t think the Giro is worth showing everyday. Verses’s coverage sucks anyways. Why watch it.

Comcast owns Versus which is kind of strange. I would figure they’d want everyone to get their channel. On the other hand, I guess they feel that it’s worth not giving away for free anymore with NHL, and TDF coverage? Bummer. Like others have said, get the Dish!
