I am in need of a bike to get around and have run into a problem. I am on a walmart budget and all the bikes at Walmart have two major problems-they are way too small and have horrible shocks that make riding difficult.
Does anyone have a old bike that they never ride that they can let go of cheap? I need something in the 57cm/large sizes. All I ask is it kinda sorta in a way work and is safe to use. Brand, color, rust, type, aeroness, weight, style are meaningless. So come on people who has an old Fuji Mt. Tam or Schwinn something or other collecting dust and taking up space.
I have a $100 budget and that has to include shipping. Again am not looking for anyting fancy or classic. Just rolls.
I’ve seen some very useful two wheeled machines at the pawn shops around Northern Denver. There seem to always be tons of bikes displayed outside. Myabe you can find the same where you are.
I looked, trust me. I live in a smelly back water hell called Sulphur Springs, Tx. The perfered way to travel here is huge desiel pick ups. The town has three side walks I am aware of so walking has turned into an excerise taking my life into my own hands. The bikes in the local pawn shops are the same bikes you get at walmart, the problems with which I have stated, and they are charging the same price.
I would love nothing more then to leave on a permanet basis but my car has lost two cyclinders and can’t go above 45 with out stalling. I am now on a 1 year escape plan. Keep your fingers crossed.
