I let a co-worker borrow my touring bike. When he brought it back, he claimed he was just riding along and reached down to shift the rear and the screw (M5) and barrel nut/axle was missing. Anyone got an old pair of shifters that are nasty or broken but have the hardware intact?

pretty sure I have a left one only shimano friction bar end style meant for 9 speed but friction so whatever. it is new condition intact and functional…is that useful to you to fix the right one?
If so let me know how much you think is fair. looks like they are going in the ballpark of $60 a pair on ebay.
I’m pretty sure you can get a brake barrell nut/washer and 5mm screw to work. It wont look OEM but should be perfectly functional and cost about 5 bucks.
