WTB Octalink Double BB

I am looking for a Octalink BB in good shape with a spindle length of 109.5. They’re getting harder to find especially at a decent price.

I have an Ultegra double (ie 109.5mm spindle), but the cups are Italian thread.

The BBs are not hard to find just no one stocks them. I am ordering some right now for a customer and have no difficulty with getting them from QBP or Shimano Direct. Your LBS should be able to help you out. MSRP for Ultegra (which is the more durable) = $49; a DuraAce and 105 versions are also available.

Here in Seattle we have “rain bikes” that are the best of the rest of your parts (plus beefy fenders and lights) so we see a fair number of Octalink bikes.

All the Octalink BB for double rings are 109.5 length, the triples are longer but we don’t sell no stinkin’ triples :wink:

This worked out perfect, thanks. I just didn’t want to have to pay $50 for one when I spent $35 on my 6500 for my roadie 1 year ago.
