WTB: Hardshell Bike Case (for Airline Travel)

I am planning a trip in April to Colorado and I want to take the bike. If anyone has an older travel case, or one that they don’t need anymore, please lmk. I am located in Florida.

Desert Dude: would you trust it to protect well enough to fly with? It looks to be a soft sided case is why I ask.

I’ve flown with it a few times and it’s flown with friends of mine to HI, the EU several times and most of the domestic IM’s. I think my friends (except jonnyo) can afford to buy their own case now. I can’t send pics until this weekend as I’m not in town right now.

ken it is at a friends house, so pic’s will. Be tough right now as he is out of town. I can assure you though it is in fine condition with one exception. One of the cables on the side has come off. Can be re attached with a rivit, but I never used them so never re attached it.

All of the straps used to secure the box a in place and work. Also the wheels and pull strap are in good condition.

Sounds good. Do you know how much it weighs; have to keep it at or under 50lbs with my bike and gear?

If you are not a pack rat you should be able to. The air lines only ever charge me over size not over weight.
