After getting destroyed by some Lake Placid training with a 11-23 cassette and standard 53/39, I want to try a compact.

Looking for 172.5 or 175 with 50/34 or 36 rings. Preferably with compatible BB but not essential. Thanks.

I’ve got a used FSA carbon pro compact w/o chainrings. It’s octalink compatible, shimano 9sp. PM if you’re interested.

I don’t know what your budget is, but if you’re running Octalink, you can get a new set of Ritchey WCS compact cranks for 125 bucks at www.aebike.com That’s a great crankset and easily comparable to any others out there.
