I need a new FD for my tandem; I’d prefer an Ultegra, but cheap is good in any case so I’d consider 105/Tiagra/whatever. I’ve done a bit of looking on Ebay but don’t really need/want a $50 new one. Let me know what you’ve got!
Don’t you just need a triple front? Why the 9 speed?
9 speed would be preferable. The 10 speed triple FD is a tad narrower for the narrower 10 speed chain.
I mentioned 9 speed because I think they’re the first “triple specific” FDs with the deep inside plate and wider cage designed to work better with STI shifters. The tandem has an old (mid 90s) Shimano FD that basically looks identical to a standard double FD. It worked fine with the original bar end shifters. However, when I updated to 9 speed STI shifters, I don’t have enough cable pull to get it to shift all 3 rings reliably.
So…you have one? 
I got a Shimano Tiagra 31.8mm 9 Speed Triple FD (FD 4403). Took it off of my bike. $10 + shipping. I’m in Okinawa right now, so it will take about a week to get to the west coast through priority. Let me know and I’ll take some pics of it. Its only got about ~600mi on it, I upgraded to a full rival group.
