Wrench Help - 80-90's Campy Crankset

I have an older campy crankset i am trying to remove as part of a rebuild. I believe it is Record (has a Pinarello pantograph). It looks like i would remove it with a hex key but appears to be an odd size ( possibly 7mm) or does it require a special tool? Also, once i have the correct tool is it threaded standard on both sides or is it like pedals?

The bolts that hold the arm to the axle of the bottom bracket are indeed removed with a large allen wrench.

Then you will need a crankarm extractor to remove them.

Use parktools website, it is very useful.

Thanks… but I believe these ones are actually self extracting. Which way do i turn to loosen them?

The allen head bolt is conventional thread

Hi,

I have '94 Chorus on a bike and this is self-extracting with a 7mm allen key. The non self-extracting Campagnolo cranks I have use a 6mm allen key.

They screw out the regular way, you can’t use a normal extractor as the cranks themselves are threaded the opposite way. They can be really tight to get off, I much prefer the standard bolt set up.
