Wow what a bunch of Babies

I new the day would come but I did not suspect it would come so quickly.

Here we are in yet another disaster…nothing new really, but this time it’s different. Instead of waiting until a couple of weeks or months or years past the disaster to start pointing fingers, we’re actually doing it in the middle of the chaos.

At this point I’m ready to join leagues with the neysayers and believe that the US is on it way out. I mean really 20, 30 or more years ago people wouldn’t have even had a thought about “who’s fault it was”. People would have concentrated solely on helping people out and doing what they can.

Frankly I’m surprised we’ve made it this far as a country. We’re a bunch of whiney, self centered, all important babies…WAAAAHHHHHHH My side lost…WAAAAAAHHHHHH if we weren’t in this war…WAAAAAAAAHHHHHH Gas prices are cutting into my Nintendo time…WAAAAHHHHHHHH…

The incideous mentality of “Win at all cost” is a cancer that has eaten away the values that have stood as the foundation of this country. We are no longer about producing, improving, innovating and above all freedom. We are merely a political quagmire existing on the fruits of the labor of generations before us.
I’m afraid we are done my friends.

Amen, brother.

So far, we’ve pinned the blame for the hurricane on:

The Army Corps of Engineers
President Bush
Governor Blanco
The war in Iraq
Fringe evangelicals
Haley Barbour
Black people
Global warming
The rest of the free world

Who’d we miss? It can’t be a simple natural disaster, someone’s gotta be the loser. Besides the victims, I mean.

You’re right. I wonder what Jesus would do? Let’s ask GWB to call him from his shoe phone to find out.

Why not add Senator Mary Landreau to the list? Isn’t it her job to make sure her state gets the funding it needs to complete the projects it has on the table? I know my senators do a fine job of making sure our state is well funded.

Mike

Who’d we miss?

My mistake. I forgot to mention the victims who are also to blame. Bunch of freeloaders.

Seriously, what is wrong with you people?

You forgot God too.

Blame Canada!

You forgot Bill Clinton, Rumsfeld, Haliburton (Hey, maybe they’ll get a huge cleanup contract!! Oh, the conspiracies!), and Bush’s oil cronies in Texas.

You’re surprised?

Hasn’t this been the trend for the last few decades?

I thought this was the major point of those that point out that religion has taken a back seat in so many people’s lives. I thought everyone knew this. We’re are less selfless and caring than we’ve ever been. heck, it almost seems to get people to give to charity, you have to give them a really trendy, popular bracelet to wear so everyone knows that they gave to charity.

That’s just to get people to throw some money at a charity … imagine how hard it has to be to actually get people to really care and/or devote their actual time?

I am not out to speak poorly of America, but I think we can all admit that we are highly, highly, spoiled. Look at the triathlon-related stuff we complain about. Inconsequential to say the least.

We rallied around the President once before when the nation needed to be pulled together at a time of great need and common suffering…and he fucked us.

No rallying for me this time. If Dubya doesn’t act I’m calling him on it, and so far he hasn’t done squat.

Yeah, I plead guilty to part of this.

I guess we all need a reality check. I guess we are getting it right now.
