Wove saddles

This being Lucy’s saddle, these are Cube cages

Hey,

Just a quick thank you to Nick.

Bought the saddle a couple month ago, but I had a hard time setting it up comfortably. Nick has been really nice and helped me set it up using videos, and I learned very valuable insights on my position, particularly regarding pelvic rotation.

I wanted to give a heads-up to the people that bought the side-by-side BTS kit I offer with Wove and Slowtwitch. First, THANK YOU for ordering one.
I answered a question about delays in another thread, but thought I should post it here too.

Unfortunately there has been delays out of our control. I am in Canada and I shipped the first batch of ~25 to Wove on Jan 2nd for final fulfillment, but it has been a bit of a nightmare with customs clearance since. It got stuck there for a long time, got slapped with a crazy duty fees invoice then finally it came all back to me a few weeks later. I won’t lie, this has been a stressful time.

We are actively working to get pre-approved from the US Trade Office before attempting again so that all the orders can be fulfilled. I was hoping it would be settled last week or this week, but it takes longer than expected. If it goes like we hope, it will be clear sailing going forward.
Learning some things the (really) hard way here.

Otherwise I can assure you the product is not “vaporware” - picture below taken on 12/30 right before packaging and shipping the first batch.

Thanks in advance for your patience and I am really sorry about the inconvenience. I hope that once you get it it will have been worth the wait.

Thanks for the update. I think I was the first person to place an order, my fitter was super excited when I told him this was going on my bike.

Sweet!

Quick update: Good news - just received the ruling from CBP that the kit can be considered ‘made in Canada’ and approved for preferential treatment under the US/CAN/MX trade agreement.
Awaiting UPS to update documentation and then it will go to Wove for final fulfillment to all buyers of the first batch. Thanks and sorry for the delay - bureaucracy takes time..

Now since I had more time on my hands while waiting for the situation with the side-by-side BTS kit to clear, I worked on a single horizontal bottle solution…

…for when I do not want to be the guy showing at the local sprint triathlon with 8 bottles on his bike haha!

Fits nice and secure in the channel of the TTv8 v2.
Puts the bottle horizontal on my bike and a bit elevated. Also leverages the same “transition hook” I used on the double side-by-side BTS kit, so that racking the bike in transition is easy and fast.

Nice and light at 62g

No tilt nor fore-aft adjustments in this version, although the latter one can easily be achieved with a Wolf Tooth BRAD-2 bracket or equivalent.

Any price jump after presale ends? Realistically what is the shipping time frame?

No price jump. On track to ship end of March

I am curious as to whether there is any difference in comfort between the carbon and the metal. Anything noticeable? Is the only difference weight? Thank you so much for what you do for the sport!

The carbon fiber and the foam are absolutely identical, and so is the location where the rails attach to the carbon. So technically, they should ride incredibly similarly. The only difference will be how the metal rails deal with vibrations compared to the carbon.

We are using solid steel to make sure the saddles are incredibly strong and yet our total saddle weight is less than what other top brands are achieving with hollow titanium rails, and our price is lower. compare our Mags Metal to the big S power pro mirror as an example.

Nice and clean solution. Do you have them for sale as well?

I can offer “on demand” via PMs. Already shipped one to an existing side-by-side BTS customer

@spocket just received my side by side in the mail and man…you are one badass. The quality of the parts are second to none. Can’t wait to get it all thrown on the bike tomorrow. If anyone is hesitant…pull the trigger. Well done man, well done!

I second that. I have his double bottle mount and I just received his single bottle mount and the quality is top of the line for both products. Hit @spocket up. You won’t be disappointed.

Thanks guys! I REALLY appreciate you taking the time to post the positive feedback. I hoped people would like what they see when they get it and not be disappointed, but you are never sure - so this is reassuring haha!

Indeed, the first batch made it to Wove last THU and they emailed me FRI evening to say all the orders from the first batch were out.

Note: make sure to use thread locker on the bottle cage screws - they are not pre-coated on the first batch. Plate screws are.

2nd batch being sold now: everything is printed, just waiting for the Ti screws to arrive and the CF plates are being machined this week. So hoping to ship out a batch next week if all goes well.

@sproket, I know this is late but what did you do with your original V1 Wove Saddle? I’m also in Ontario and just cracked the Sitero I was riding.

Looking for a replacement and have been interested in the Wove

Hey there - I am keeping it for my “mule” (2nd tri bike).
