my friend who’s on a budget is looking at buying the MINOURA 500D INDOOR BIKE TRAINER used. i told him that fluid is better than magnetic in general.

does anyone have experience with this trainer?

No experience with that one in particular, but I had a fluid trainer that constantly leaked. I ended up buying a trainer from 1upUSA.com. Silent and I love it.

I bought a Minoura Mag trainer about 4yrs ago for about $110. So far so good. makes some noise but not loud.
