Would anyone like to constructively critique my TT position?

You are so aero in the second photo that I can’t even see you.

You seat is most certainly too high.

Don’t know if you need to shorten the stem and move the saddle back. I’d start with lowering the saddle.

Then you’ve gotta work on that melon – get it out of the wind. Relax the muscles across your shoulders and back and let your head come down. Jut your chin towards your hands. (In other words, do the turtle.)

Personal preference, I’d cut the bars down to reduce the reach for shifting. My shifters are in my fingers

What saddle is that?
.

I can not be the first to say it so I will not but once you have changed what everyone is going to say, make sure you lower your bars the same amount to compensate for the other change and it will be a very good position.

Carrying a little replica model of yourself between the aerobars is both vain and adds unecessary drag…

that was freaking hilarious…

Holy hell OneTime…your tagline make me think we could be twins except change Miller Lite to Coors Lite and mint to wintergreen.

Tell me you don’t ride your trainer in front of the mirror.

It’s a good thing you’ve got your heart rate monitor on, it’s important to be in zone 3 for these photos.

I can hear your IT bands complaining about your seat being too high through the internets.

Holy lord lower your seat.
Shorter stem. that should fix the longest aerobars ever problem.

Also buy some brakes they help on teh whole stoping thing.

lmao now that was funny!

Your picture is skewed such that the front of your bike is closer to the camera than the rear. That makes it difficult to measure you knee angle and is probably why people are saying your seat is way too high. Although I would also have to say it is probably a little too high.

Your upper body angles appear comfortable. Do you have a problem with the armrests that far up on you forarm? I feel more comfortable with them directly below my elbows.

Your hand position looks a little bit low but that might just be personal preference.

Take another picture with you and your bike square to the camera and include your foot in the picture as well.

In addition to that, take a picture from the front as well.

Is that a little sweeper robot on the floor?

I think it’s difficul to say for sure whether or not your seat is too high without seeing the angle of your ankle. I assume the others are basing that comment on the nearly staight knee, but from what I can see of the top of your shoe, perhaps your ankle is not extended very much.
Overall, I think it looks like a pretty good position.

Thank you for a serious response. I think that the angle that the photo was taken at makes my knee look straighter than it actually is. I will lower lower it slightly, but not much.

Yes, it is a Roomba. He cleans when I leave the house.

Did you think his was the only serious response?

no… thanks for yours as well… I was also planning on shortening the aero bars slightly…

as far as my head position, I will work on it… but it will probably be hard to do because of my lack of flexibility

nrf,

I have the same frame, welcome to the club.

I think you might get slightly more comfortable if the elbow pads are actually back under your elbows, but I don’t think you need to remove much stem…ideally you could just move your elbow pads backwards…but your arm pads are probably not adjustable that way are they?
I agree with a previous poster that suggested you shorten your extensions to get the shifters in to your current hand position.

As for seat height…when I sit on my bike cold my legs look nearly straight, but after 5 minutes of warmup my knees don’t bend as much…do my legs get longer when I’m warm? Do I point my toes? Do I rock my hips? Anyway, if you are like me everyone would say to lower the seat, but I know what feels powerful and I don’t like 100rpm spinning so I think the higher seat works for me and maybe it will for you too.

And I admire you for not being so insecure as to take the picture with the chain on the big ring!

Did you play the douche-bag finance in Wedding Crashers?

Lets not forget that the OP is asking about short time trials. Comfort and short time trials have litte in correlation.

Having the arm rests up closer to the hands can help increase leverage when needed for extra power – like staying aero and attacking a short rise in the road ahead, etc.

LOLLLLLL genius!
