How would his return clear his name? He was tested at this year’s TdF and was clean. Why would more clean tests change anything?
My guess is, Lance ain’t into that kind of thing. I don’t think he feels he has anything to prove to the “sources” that sling this stink around. The man was on a probable death-bed, stared into death’s eyes, got on his bike anyway on the days he could haul his carcass up onto the seat, and survived. Then, with unbelieveable hard work, he thrived. Then, he set himself up with a truly Great Team to accomplish the goal that no one will ever break: SEVEN Tour de France Victories…all the while testing clean at all the races, at all the unannounced tests, all the time. Lance-haters can hate him all they want, I don’t think that will bother Mr. Armstrong either. I give zero credibility to “leaking” of information that is supposedly done on samples that are over half a decade old. Zero.

What evidence?..We have no idea what happened with those samples and if they were even his? Without a second sample to confirm the first test, there is nothing. Now if one wanted to extrapolate hypothetically if the samples were truly positive, then a full time line of the samples and their corresponding stages would need to be know. Then, at best, it is an educated guess.
Correct me if I’m wong, but I thought that most of the “Lance used doping” allegations were made public by US citizens. Next to that, there are also the Italians who’re still running an investigation against him. Why, then, are the French the bad ones? BTW, you cannot blame the French that Armstrong rides most of his races in France such that actual doping test stories can only originate over there.
P.S. Just wanted to stand up for the little French people with this post. (Although they belittle us Belgians)

Their accents? You must have met a weird subsample of French people. Most French people have a perfect French accent, and nothing apart from that.

Well then you have missed out on one of life’s most pleasant moments. There is nothing quite like listening to an attractive French woman. Whether she is speaking English poorly or her native language it is a beautiful thing to behold.
Compared to the redneck lingo/slang with which I grew up, I would prefer French accents any day.

I agree. The contreversial tests in question are from the 1999 Tour de France. He has tested clean countless times, including all the way through this most recent Tour. I am not sure what return would do. My feeling is that there will always be this element who dislike Lance. Who will attemp to discredit him at every turn. My suggestion to hLance would be as much as it burns him up, to ignore these guys and get on with his life - what ever that entails. There are top level people in the Drug Testing world who have openly questioned both the validity of the tests and the ethics of matching up what were supposed to be completely anonymous tests for research purposes only, with riders names.
