Worth is subjective, but I might get $1200 (?) for the 2010 808s and pick up a lightly used set of FC 808s for $1800 maybe?
Worth $600 for the time savings of firecrest, for a MOPer?

If you’re losing races by seconds than perhaps… but other than that NO…
That little of a difference between FC/non-FC 808s?
Yeah dude, just throw those 2010’s in the dumpster by my apartment, those things are worthless.
Riding firecrest 808s is like having front and rear discs with the handling of a 60mm rim. another benefit of the firecrest option is that it performs better with wider tires than the non fc zipps.
Personally i would go with a 808 fc cc front and a disc cover rear.

What were you expecting? For MOPer, you might gain slightly more seconds than a Pro as you are on the course longer.
The FC is faster and much, much easier to control. In fact, I’d say the 808FC is more user friendly than a “regular” 404 front.

Sounds like your impressions match the data. Cool ![]()
So you’re an MOP’er… Lets say in a race the FC’s saves you 30 seconds (i’m being somewhat generous here). You go from coming in 25th place to maybe 22nd. If that is worth 600.00 to you than go for the FC’s. FWIW I would say keep the money for a while, train harder get the motor faster and wait for the next big aero happenings in wheels and you’ll be able to take even more advantage of that…
I love the Bromance you two have going on ![]()

Agreed. Spending the money on a coach may give you a better return on your investment, if you don’t already have one.

Based on the recent tour quarterly magazine you may not be as generous as you think you’re being with the 30 second number for a 40k
If you don’t mind the handling of the 808’s I’d just keep them. looking at the WT data the FC 808 doesn’t become much faster until medium to high yaws. At low yaws the non FC 808s are faster.
