Any Banana benders, Cockroaches, mexicans et al raced the course? I am guessing the bike section is more suitable for a road bike than a time trial bike.

Not in the elites race, but the age groupers are Non-drafting.

For short course du worlds, age groupers have a non draft race (*supposedly) and can therefore use their TT bikes. I’d take a look at the Newcastle course profile and decide which bike you’d prefer. Its supposed to be hilly.

Du worlds Tri worlds does not matter, it’s the place the AGers can come the closest to racing like the pros. Actually I thought SC Du worlds was much much cleaner than tri worlds.
