Woodway SOLD!

Moved cities and can’t fit the woodway into my new building due to the railings not coming off. One of the railing poles comes loose, but the right side one appears to be ceased up. I have been able to move it into all doors of apts and the current storage area it’s in with the rails on with no problems, but my new apt has an immediate turn upon entering the apt requiring the rails to be removed. No damage to the treadmill. It is a legitimate 500lb, so requires 4-5 people to move and I personally have hired movers to move it (moved it the first time with 2 strong math professors and while we did it, it was not wise).

I’m bummed, but would like to see it go to a ST’r who can appreciate it.

Asking $2.5k

Update: Woodway says by the serial number it was manufactured in 1996 and refurbished in 2004.
No visible wear on the belt. Bought it used. Only one previous owner who self-admittedly basically never used it. Had a Woodway specialist look it over and he said it is practically new, and he even offered to buy it from me. It’s in Philadelphia.

No heart rate grips. Believe it has a max of 11mph and 15% incline.

PM me or text (607-229-2759) years to discuss price, picking it up and so I can answer questions. I had planned to keep this for life, so it’s a loss. It has two garmin mounts on the computer area - one upright and one horizontal for 935/920/910 qr mounts.

I’ll bump this for you.

I have a Woodway Desmo and absolutely love it. As an injury prone runner, it’s definitely one of the better investments I’ve made. The Garmin mounts are a good idea!

some photos added. Thanks for the PM’s!

where is it located?
what is cost for a new one? (for comparison purposes)

Kiley was kind enough to allow me to place it in one of his storage units in/near Center City in Philadelphia.

A new Woodway Mercury begins at $8 - 8.5k.

A refurbished/“renewal” unit begins at $5.5 - 6k.

Note: I also have the Woodway maintenance kit that I bought from Woodway and will include with the treadmill.

Man, I would just chop the arms off, move it, and weld the arms back on.

Ha! I thought about it. Only one of the rails would need to be cut. But, paying to have it moved to a weld shop, paying to have it cut and re-welded, and paying for it to be moved up three flights of stairs, well, this is getting out of my PhD stipend range!

There’s got to be a way. If you don’t know anybody, find a guy on craigslist who can do it as a side job…wouldn’t require a move.

Yes, with enough money there’s always a way!

Call Woodway. Even if you have to hacksaw the arm off and buy a new arm. It is worth it. Call the service tech that worked on it last time. You’re selling an awesome treadmill for a minor problem. Woodway should take care of this for you.

You might just need some time with a big hammer to get it to let go.

Did you get all of these bolts loose? If they won’t loosen then you can just cut them and buy new bolts. Only a few dollars at a hardware store.

I’m really hoping that you’ve gotten woodway involved in this.

Someone is interested in buying it. The cost to have it moved back from the storage unit, the truck, and then up 3 flights of stairs is out of my budget. But if this sale falls through, I’ll wait until I have the money, hacksaw the arm and use a plumbing fixture to reattach. And/or contact Woodway. I feel ok about selling it right now, though.
