I was just sitting here talking with Jen about the need for a larger gravy boat (a gravy pitcher was my recommendation) when Steve “Gravy” Gravenites popped into my head. Anyone remember this dude from his days as a legendary wrench for Yeti? A quick Google search informed me that he’s now a shopowner in Norcal, and sells his beautiful handbuilt wheels (GravyWheels) to us schmoes who would never otherwise have had a chance to get our hands on such sick pro wheels. http://www.gravywheels.net/
Now I’m thinking we need a wheelbulder showdown (smackdown?). AFAIK, there are only a few truly outstanding wheelbuilders peddling their wares via the internet.
First there was **Dave **of Dave’s Dream Wheels
Rich Sawriss of Wheelbuilder.com gets a lot of love as well, especialy for his work with disc covers. That alone earns him a spot for all he’s done for poor (and PowerTapped) trigeeks.
Now we’ve got the legendary Steve “Gravy” Gravenites making his GravyWheels available.
Hey Dan - any interest in doing a custom wheel comparison? Maybe we could get Pez in on the deal. (Simon - pull some strings, will ya?)
The last thing I “need” is another set of wheels… and yet I’m strangely compelled to email Steve…
