WKO set up on Mac

Hey…

I’m setting up my WKO trainingpeaks on my Mac via Parallels.

It can’t find my Edge 705. Any clue on what settings I may need to do?

I’m new to Parallels and WKO, so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Even with Windows, you need to plug in the 705, let it pop up and drag and drop the .tcx file of that date in your WKO calendar. A window will pop up where you choose the rider/user. It should show up then.

just let the 705 mount in mac, afterwards it will show up as a shared drive in My Computer> 'Garmin" on psf…blah blah just browse to history and your tcx file will be there.

Got it… thanks a lot for your help!!!

Time to geek out and see how weak I really am!?!

I’m looking into going this direction as well (705 + WKO on mac). Does anyone know whether parallels (4) or wmware fusion is a better solution for running WKO?

Thanks!
Wm

either are fine, i have both and go back and forth depending upon what the latest version of each offers.

Get whatever you can get the best deal on!

have not used WKO but I have used VMfusion for 15 months now. It has worked perfectly apart from some minor startup issues. The only downside to it is their web support is practically speaking non-existent. After 30 days you have to pay for it and it requires sending them an email with a complete diagnostic routine run. That was beyond my technical level so I muddled through and fixed the issue myself. I would recommend you find a geek who is familiar with it beyond implementing. We used the Geek Squad but it was just chance that they had a knowledgable person

Thanks to you both. Will go with whatever’s cheaper.

I have Parallels on an iMac and Fusion on a Macbook. My vote is for Fusion. I have had WKO+ file corruption several times under Parallels and zero issues with Fusion.

Thanks. As it happens, that’s the cheaper option for me anyway.
