VI: 1.07 (high for me usually 1.04-1.05 on this course)

Not local, but ridden this course dozens of times.

Interesting stuff. But what is VI and IF?
Good ( for an non swimmer like me at least) that Mac Brown took third place with a 1.02 swim. Taht cannot be common these days. anyone who has any insight in this guy?
VI is a measure of the variability of power applied during the ride. It is computed by dividing normalized power of the ride by average power.
Better change that to “an indicator of variability…” since some people on this forum are purists. ![]()
Anyone care to share?

Much Thanks!
That was a good question.
How is this meaningful? I have power but your ftp weight aero profile are all different from mine so comparing my numbers versus yours aren’t useful for me to plan or predict my effort, no? What am I missing?
2008:
5:26
215/231
182/5’10"
2009
5:21
217/230
182/5’10"
2010
5:20 (riding time)
207/222
173/5’10"
.
@ Sentania, how did you run? Looks like better watt management and weight loss helped?
2008 and 2010 had superb runs both were much faster than I would have thought possible at the time.
2009 - was a bad run, but the bike was not the cause.
