My wife is a soon to be jazzercise instructor and needs a wireless microphone setup.
Any recommendations, advice, suggestions, opinions ???
Don’t spend too much. With the impending switch to digital broadcast, ALL of the analog frequencies which are currently publiclly owned and licensed for use will be auctioned off. The between channels where most of the consumer wireless frequencies lie will also be auctioned off. This means the low power wireless stuff that the entertainment industry uses will become useless. Currently there is no allowance to keep some freq’s available for the entertainment business. Can you imagine Broadway Musicals without wireless, or any current big music production, from The Stones to Celine?
Unfortunately the live entertainment industry isn’t as powerful as they need to be to get some slack cut.
Oh, and I really like the Crown CM 311 http://www.crownaudio.com/pdf/mics/102546.pdf You can set it up with the wireless transmitter of your choice. I don’t have enough experience to give a decent opinion on that part of the system.
