Wired powertap wrench, slightly older version?

I’m trying to change the batteries in my wired powertap, but my powertap wrench for my sl 2.4 wheel doesn’t line up with the notches on this powertap’s hub cap. It looks like the sl, with carbon windows on the hub, but the black hub cap has deeper indentations that the current generation. The wiring harness has a trapezoid-shaped sensor, rather than sharkfin, if that clarifies anything. I’ve contacted Saris and the rep I spoke to didn’t know of an older hub cap wrench. I tried a rubber strap wrench, and that didn’t work either.

At this point I’m sort of desperate… anyone know where I can get one? Or borrow (i’ll paypal shipping)?

Thanks.

Those are supposedly removed with your fingers. I don’t think there’s a wrench.
When you put it back on grease the contact points of the cap: threads and any O-rings.

Close a vice on that bastard. I’ve had to do it that way.

Large channel lock pliers and a rag should do it.

Alright, I don’t think I’m strong enough to open it with my fingers, so now I have to order a suitable vice or a pliers. I’m not sure how sturdy those table clamp ones are though, and how grippy the pliers are?.. ugh, first world problems.
