Winter starts thursday at 7:33 am EST
I am ready for longer days and Colder weather .
I am tired of dark rides to and from work.

have a great Christmass
We were discusing the Solstice today. We’ve been very lucky with the weather so far here in Michigan- not one flake of snow. None in the forecast through the new year.
My fingers are very firmly crossed.
Happy Solstice.
I am tired of dark rides to and from work.
I’m with you. Bring on the daylight!
I’m with you. Bring on the daylight!
This day is better then Christmass

Tom,
Same here in the Toronto area. My only concern with this so far non-winter is that it’s going to come back and bite us in the ass in late March and April when we want it to really be spring, winter will still be raging on.
amen! While it’s still a ways away, the start of daylight savings time is one of my favorite days of the year!

Some say this day IS Christmas. A time when the world was at it’s darkest and coldest, and then a great seed of light appeared, growing with each passing day.
WHEWHOO!!! Here in Fairbanks (125 miles south of the Arctic Circle) winter solstice is huge! Here are our numbers today:
Sun rise: 10:58 am
Sun set: 2:39 pm
Length of day light: 3 hours 41 minutes
We gain 9 seconds tomorrow
Current temp: -8F (-22C)
Normal high temp: 2F (-16C)
Normal low temp: -16F (-26C)
Merry Winter Solstice!
That is intense! I can’t imagine living in a place like this.
114 days until IM AZ.
hooray for turnaround day !
4ft of snow and climbing, in my backyard…

Today is the 7th. My wife and I figured this out the other night when neither one of us could remember the number of years.
When you are as old as me and this is the second marriage, the number of years doesn’t really matter.
Zipp i think we are in the same AG 55-59
Well I will be in may
so don’t give me the age thing ![]()
this may is my 26 anniversary.
I’m in the 50-54 (51)
The first marriage was 22 years…yikes, that was a long time.
