So there is a good chance I’m going to head down to A2 this fall. Does anyone have any suggested protocol and tips for going to the tunnel? I would basically want to have a very good idea of everything I want to test prior to getting down there. I would want to minimize time spent changing/altering the bike in order to maximize time spend recording data.
So what kind of tips do any of you have in terms of quick efficient swaps? Should I take off the cables to ensure it is super easy to swap out bars? Is it important to have the actual drivetrain, or is it OK to have it setup as a fixed gear? I could see keeping the shifters and brakes on there, but would have no function. Does it make much of a difference to fully screw in bolts, or do you just turn them so they are sorta tight?
It seems like all of this should be explicitly planned out prior to showing up, and ideally it would be practiced too prior to going down there (ie do a whole dry run of switching things up and swapping things out practicing with rollers at home).
So who had been there? What tips do you have? If someone shows up well prepared, how many positions is it realistic to test in an hour? How long is the setup/start-up time at the start? Is it something like 20 minutes, so that 2 hours might enable 2.5 times as much testing.
How does one even begin to figure out what one is going to test in the first place?
