It’s a horrible state of affairs when people that are independent get stuck between the donkeys and the GOP. They don’t represent us. We have nobody that has the money to run as a viable 3rd party candidate. We are perpetually stuck with two equally crooked parties whose only goal is to rape the country as quick as they can and blame the other guy for the results… I’ve spent the last 25+ years voting for Libertarians or the Green Party. As a voter I feel disenfranchised. I see the same crooked faces getting elected year after year. And having to listen to donkeys and elephants blame the other guy got old years ago.
Elon Musk could be the dark horse candidate that brings the independents together. If only he had the inclination to run. Or even Bill Gates. The work he’s done with his foundation is outstanding. The last thing I want to see is another politician run for office. And before you say how did Trump running for office work out, remember he was better than all the other GOP candidates on stage, what does that tell you about our election process?
Also really anyone is sane in comparison to trump. If you compare anything the dems run out it is much more sane / legal then trumps proposals. (Mexico pay for the wall, Muslim ban, better and cheaper health care (but not telling you how because then you might use it), plan for peace in the Middle East (but not telling you because you may use it), plan to balance the budget (but can’t trll you because you may use it), CALL SEAN HANNITY!!! More jobs than any other president in history! Growing the economy 5% each year, best president for lbgt, go to the moon. No mars. But the moon is part of mars. Cure cancer, hiv, and other illness while defunding them, Etc.
Honestly, looking at many of the candidates at the Dem debate, Trump seems to be in good company with his particular brand of insanity.
I think, at this point, you have to be a reasonably sick and deranged person to put yourself and your family through the grinder that is becoming POTUS.

Trump is doing a good job. It is going to be an uphill battle for any democrat.
The Dems have a slate of basically competent candidates that run nearly the same gamut that they have had for ~80 years (minus the segregationists). Don’t blame them for the political implosion of the GOP. Most of the GOP and former GOP members that I know have fully drunk Trump’s Kool-aid, or vote moderate Democrat now. There is little or no hope that the GOP can salvage their party at this point.
The question is whether the GOP is better off following Trump, or would be better served by losing and spending a few years out in the wilderness.
