Assuming that it’s not going to since nobody is freaking out on here… I’m in and so are a ton of locals.
Maybe most are afraid of a real tough race at Altitude? :o)
What should be fun this year is so many I know are doing the 70.3. Many did the full last year and just did not want
to train that much again. With Martis gone, the bike will be much easier for both distances. I am in also, great way to end
the season.

it will take weeks, maybe months to sell out.

How much do you think this had to do with Challenge putting a 70.3 errr HIM in Sacramento on Oct 5th? Also, has WTC ever offered a relay before?

Probably a little, but I’ve heard that Messick is a big fan of Tahoe and wants a race there. I think this may be a way to make a Tahoe race viable. Whatever they get for the half just spreads out the fixed costs of the race more. If it keeps a 70.3/140.6 WTC option in Tahoe, I’m happy.

Completely agree!! Is the relay thing new? I do not remember ever seeing this at a 70.3 but maybe I just have never paid attention…
I know 70.3 Florida and Syracuse have both had relays. I believe Messick even did the Florida relay this year.
