Will Georgie Raise My Taxes?

Perish the thought. I was just getting comfortable with the fact that America gave its blessing yet again to an unfair distribution of wealth and that I’d get to collect more cash. Now, what, is Bush suddenly finding religion? Somehow I really doubt that will happen. I’m banking on the fact that taxes will stay unfair, that I’ll keep my money, and spend it on what I really need — something like a P3 to replace my year old P2K. Thanks America!

If you have so much extra money laying around that you want to pay more taxes, why don’t you give it to charity? The money would be used much more efficiently by the right charity than it would be by the goverment.

Small rant… Maybe you are just catching up to me now but I got sick and tired of the tax “scheme” years ago. Vote NO when people try to raise new taxes. Send letters and make phone calls demanding a balanced budget law. It may all be pointless but I am trying to change the system and not just complaining about it. When enough of us get p****d off things will change, but only if we act. Until then the politicians use our money like it was their personal play cash. Our budget and the whole tax scheme is asinine.

There is a balanced budget law.

Have you checked our budget lately? There is nothing balanced about it. And if you really want to get sick start looking into the various pork barrel projects that help make it up.

Did I say the budget was balanced? I said, there IS a balanced budget law.

Point taken. Are you a lawyer or do you play one on TV?

Bush may not raise your taxes but if you are young enough you will be paying for his tax cuts and was eventually.

Give money to charity to help the downtrodden who otherwise vote for Bush? Hah, that is a laugh. I am totally fine with having some of my taxes get redistributed to those who need it. But I am not giving it away, especially when the average American seems completely fine with the status quo, even if that means working two jobs and still having no healthcare. Besides, from what I can tell, they wouldn’t want any handouts anyhow, right?
