Wildflower run profile/trash disposal

Haven’t been over to the Wildflower course yet. Would off-road type shoes be recommended? Are we talking about a lot of dirt trails?

Are there any suggestions on nifty ways to dispose of gel wrappers/ power bar wrappers? When cycling I put them in my back pocket which can make a gooey mess. (Picturing a trash bag tied to my seat post flailing in the wind) Back in the day it was easy-just toss them aside the road!

thanks

The powerbar wrappers can still make their way to your pocket. If you don’t want to get the goo all over then go to hammer nutrition or similar company that are now selling gell flasks, you can even get a little holder that will attach to your bike if you want. You can see them here http://www.e-caps.com/za/ECP?PAGE=PRODUCT_CATEGORY&CAT=ACC&OMI=10079,10047&AMI=10079

Very cool. thanks

Perfect for my wife that is too scared to take a hand off the bars.

I’d use regular shoes. The first 5-6 miles are on trails, and sometimes they’re pretty rough. However, the last 7-8 miles are on hard, hot asphalt. You’ll definitely want your regular road running shoes for that. If you can get off-road to practice in your running shoes, that will help too. Oh yeah, and be prepared for pain.
