What is segment and what is race ranking because they dont make any sense to me.
Is segment 5 out of 10 people in AG and ranking where you lie at the end of that segment?

You got it. Segment Ranking shows how you ranked relative to other competitors on a particular segment of the race. Race Ranking shows what place you were in after the segment was finished.
Take Dan Empfield’s race as an example (http://tri.siebert.org/result.m?raceId=70&bib=1788). The HTML table doesn’t render well here so you have to go look for yourself and follow along. But, as an example, of everyone who who finished, Dan had the 139th fastest bike split. After he got off the bike, he was in 192nd place overall, moving up from 560th. If you filter by just his age group (M45-49), you see that only one other guy in his age group biked faster, and he ended up 5th in his age group.
