Wildflower 2014 Camping

Hello everyone!

This is my first time doing the Wildflower Triathlon and I’m super excited. Due to work, I won’t be able to arrive until Friday morning, and I will be bringing an RV. Do you think I will have problems finding a camping spot? I don’t think for the two days that I need to worry about having RV hookups, and I will have a generator. Thank you ahead of time for any information!

No you won’t- you may not get the campsite of your dreams but on Friday morning there will be lots of cool(look for a shady spot) places left. You definitely won’t get a place with hookups

Most people that do this race “camp”, so odds are nill on hook ups, likely you will be on top of the hill, watch out for the gopher holes, they are everywhere, last thing I heard the water was really low, hope the swim goes, or find a different lake, my 2 cents
.

In 2013 I got the last available hook-up slot and I arrived at 1:00PM on Wednesday afternoon. The rental company that TriCal uses basically spends mon-wed shuttling trailers from Paso Robles into the park all day and night, taking all of the good hook-up slots. You also have some folks without trailers who take hook-up slots so they can plug in the iphone charger over the weekend (a-holes in my opinion).

Good luck! Oh, and as others have said, PRAY FOR RAIN !!
