It’s a bit all over the country. It’s a tragedy, it happens every year, very, very sad.
I’m currently in Lisbon, which is a big urban area. The guys are doing a training camp up in the north, and there’s been some forest fires around them. Sergio told me yesterday that they got lucky and the route they took for the long ride didn’t pass through areas with fires or even smoke.
Talking to my dad yesterday and he mentioned he saw a news clip of an older Portugese man, about 50 years old, in tears after his home and all of his possessions were destroyed.
Unbelievable. It’s just horrible.
