Anybody know of a particularly wide tri shoe? The Shimano TR-02, Pearl Izumi and Carnacs are not wide enough. Suggestions.
I have the Shimano TR30’s and I wear a 4E.
the louis garneau tri-air i think its called
.
I wear a wide in my running shoes and Shimano cycklign shoes, but took a normal width in their high end Tri shoes. It’s very flexy ont he sides, so it can expand as needed. Good shoe.

I have fairly wide feet and I use the Northwave Tribals. They’re amazing and they fit incredibly well. Something to check out: http://www.northwave.it (yes they do have an english options, si non parli italiano)
Have you tried the Shimano Tr02? It was too narrow. Is the TR30 a wider fit?
weird.
I wear 4E asics and I’m fine in the Tr-01’s. In fact, they’re my favourite shoe for long rides. I have some TR-02s I haven’t taken outside yet but the fit seems similar; the sides really give…
TR30 has a wider toe box… at least that’s what the guy in the shop told me…
I got a pair of Louis Garneau Carbon TriAir shoes and they have a pretty wide footbox. I found alot of other shoes too narrow but the LG’s fit perfect.

Good luck!
It is TIME you Tri TIME - (RXtri): Awesome, love them, single wide strap and plenty of width to spare for my 4E boards. Very light weight. Breath exceptionally well. I have both the TeamUlteam and the Rxtri and have a tough time choosing which to choose to wear.
After seriously mashed toes and emergent corns with Specialized tri shoes, I switched to the LG tri-airs. Extremely comfortable right from the get-go, with a wide toe-box. My toes recovered, they’re great with or without socks.
It is unfortunate that no company currently makes tri shoes in widths.
I use the TR-30’s that were mentioned previously, but I still had to stretch them a bit at the local shoe/cobbler shop.
Man, I’ve got a TR-02, and I have DD (sometimes E) width feet. You must have some serious clods…
Sidi genius 5 are made in a mega. These are meant to cater for people with wide feet. I was told they are slightly wider then the Shimano shoes that come in a wide.

Unless there is a new Tri version of the Sidi Genius 5, they are “cycling” shoes, not “tri” shoes. I’m pretty sure that Sidi stopped making their tri designs in widths a couple years ago. I’m a bit picky about foot wear in that I’d rather train and race with the same equipment.
I just recieved a pair of custom D2 Custom shoes (www.d2customfootwear.com) I have yet to mount the cleats and go for a ride, but they are made as wide as you need them. With my deformed feet, I will see how they will match up to the Rocket 7’s. While they look to be a lot more durable, the truth will be told once I get the cranks turning!
