I said this last month. Take a in-good-shape Cervelo Dual or P2k, take good care of it, you can ride it for a year, and you’ll get at least 70% of it back. The wheelset up there is 400-600, I’ll concede that but that’s 4 days out, look at all those bids already, compared to other road bikes in that category: and a NEW DUAL with Ultegra is, what? 1700 plust tax.
Anything and everything truly tri bike gets bid, bid, bid, bid up on Ebay and pounced on compared to standard road bikes. Its just growing out of control. I’ve watched Ebay for 2 years and I’d say in the last year it has ratcheted up another notch. Its gotten so bad, road bike sellers I think are sticking on aero bars on road bikes and putting the bike in the triathlon category. Just amazing.
You are so wrong. My virtually unused P2K frame and carbon fork, in the most common size, which I had repainted from that awful blue into a perfect gloss black that turned heads, went for a measly $950. I practically GAVE it away.

Aztec,
If you sold the frame and fork for $950 and a new P2K is about $2,000, then what were the wheels, gruppo, seatpost, stem, bars and saddle worth?
Seems to me that you got a pretty good price for the frame and fork! Much closer to 100% than just 70%.
