Why voluteer at IM MOO?

Because when you’re out there next year other volunteers will be making your day possible. Thom

Hilarious. Too funny.

I raced IM MOO first time this year, and the volunteers made such a large impact that I and my family will be volunteering next year.

My wife straight out asked me if we could volunteer, she was just a spectator and wanted to be part of the volunteers because fo the great job they do and difference they make for the racers

I have raced IM MOO twice and volunteered for the first time this weekend. Honestly, I had an absolute blast for the entire day. I was at a bike aid station, hustled all day getting water to people, giving words of encouragement and overall just having a great time in a great city at a great event. As an added bonus I received the opportunity to sign early in the morning. I have raced 2 ironman and 5 halfs and volunteering this weekend has given me an entirely new perspective on how to be a more effective athlete when approaching the aid station.

Sure for this race, the online registration remained open for a while and not going to volunteer might have been a viable option. That said, even if I wasn’t planning on racing the following year I would still consider going back to volunteer because I had a wonderful time and hopefully helped the athletes along the way.

X2. Helping out is a blast.

And you can look down at your shirt to see how to spell.

You bought insurance by being there. If online registration was only open for 15 minutes and people were on here ranting about how they did not get in, you would feel differently.
