Why shouldn't I vote for RFK?

I’ll transfer my points/discussion from the other thread to here:

Overall, I agree with a lot of his broad stances, and I would think most in here would too.

His vaccine claims are… well, a little out there, but overall I agree with his overarching view on big pharma, and the contamination of regulatory bodies by corporations in general.

He’s being made out to be a loon but when you have two other loons running is he really that far out in left field? I’d take him over trump in a heartbeat.

It is so easy to agree with broad stances, that is meaningless. Like “I want America to be better.” Of course that is good.

Basically you are like, “sure this nut job thinks the that the moon landing is fake and is being used by reptilians in the deep state to enslave us, but I agree that there should be more transparency in how the government works and what it does.”

Since RFK jr wants to throw the baby out with the bathwater, you seem to think that is not crazy since the bath water needs to be changed. Just change the bathwater!

I’m asking this out of ignorance, because I really don’t know much about the guy other than what I’ve heard on roughly 5 hours of his podcasts, where he is undoubtedly in full on campaign mode and making himself out in the best, most reasonable light possible:

What are his most extreme views that I should be worried about?

he doesn’t have to be made out as a loon.

textbook definition - He is one. Kennedy last name should buy him, nothing. Sadly, there ARE people who believe his BS. Not any better than those who believe Trump’s BS (or Joes, for that matter).

Kinda sad really, when people who seem decent, balanced and qualified appear to have no shot at the WH (I’m thinking of ND governor Burgum, etc.).

If being a loon is “the” qualification, I’d be a shoe in

Not sure if serious.

He’s a conspiracy theorist. I guess if that’s not a problem for you then the reason you shouldn’t vote for him will be that Trump has your vote already.

What theories does he promote?

You’re not entirely as dumb as you like to sometimes play, so let’s skip the foreplay.

You toddle off and read a bit about RFK Jnr, and then you can come back here and explain why you find some of the - ahem - less mainstream positions he has pushed rationale, reasonable and persuasive.

Was one of those podcasts hosted by someone that denied American landed on the moon?

Beyond the wacko conspiracy theories what do you think of the fact that he drove his wife to commit suicide by having 30+ affairs and treating her like crap?..or does that go in the “Plus” column for Windy?

I’d take him over trump in a heartbeat.

That’s a really, really, really low bar.

That’s like asking why I shouldn’t vote for Trump… If you have to ask, I won’t be able to convince you.

Because he is a walking conspiracy theory. See my post in the other thread.

Don’t be dumb.

He is not worthy of discussion.

What theories does he promote?

Does Google not work in your neighborhood?

The better question might be which ones he doesn’t support.

A litany of vaccine nonsense, if some dumbass has said it, he repeated it. COVID vaccine deadliest ever. Vaccine passport is like living in Nazi Germany. Chemicals in water cause gender dysphoria. Antidepressants behind school shootings. CIA killed JFK. Sirhan Sirhan didn’t kill his dad. COVID is a bioweapon. 5G and wi-fi control our minds. AIDS not caused by HIV. Michael Skakil not guilty of murder.

If you support him in any way you are a fucking moron.

nah, but if he did that, he wouldn’t be able to stretch this troll out for a couple of pages

Windy isn’t serious about anything. He’s as flakey as a little crusty white dog.

If he’s too far off base then I imagine he’ll be the kind of person that says “I’m just starting a conversation”

To answer the question: RFK is a conspiracy theorist. Is that how far the US has sunk? If so I wish Canada had better neighbours.

Any vote for a candidate other than the Dem nominee is a vote for Trump.

But your vote is irrelevant anyway. Carry on.

You’re not too bright are you?

Says the guy asking why he shouldn’t vote for RFK (sic) Jr.

Your state hasn’t gone red since Herbert Walker, but I’m sure next year will be different.

They just like his policies.

No he’s just bi-curious, running through all the remedial options in “why shouldn’t I vote for X” threads is just his way of coming out.

Eventually it will be something along the lines of “I hate Biden but had to vote for him, the other candidates were simply all ubstreperous ignorami” in reply to others he will also add “you sir/madam are an idiot”

He will vote Biden…this is just his own path to self discovery.

I’ll probably throw my vote away on the least offensive third party if the GOP can’t put up someone I like

I was vaguely aware of his mercury in vaccines stuff. He seems a bit out there on other stuff
