What purpose does mixing materail serve? If you put carbon stays on a titanuim bike for stiffness and/or comfort why bother with the titanuim? If gush over a titanuim ride why throw caron in the mix? If beer can tubes are too harsh why even look at them?

My Lemond is steel/carbon but I wouldn’t say whether or not this combo works better than an all steel or all carbon bike.
Carbon seat stays with an aluminium frame makes sense.

Before every freaking bike out there had them, I thought it looked pretty cool. And cool factor goes a long way sometimes.
