Why I stayed inside all day today

it was snowing in Kingston today. It was cold and windy and I slept in because of the time change. But mostly I stayed inside because my thesis is due tomorrow. I started at 10 this morning with 25 pages of red ink-covered rough draft and as I sit here right now, sixteen hours after I started, I have 96 lovingly crafted pages of electrical engineering prose.

I seem to remember being warned about six months ago not to leave it to the last day. Oh well, I’m not the only one; there’s plenty of others here scrambling to finish up.

48 days to grad, then a move down the highway to Trenton, and race all summer: first race is the Hamilton Du on May 30th, first tri is Smith’s Falls on June 27th.

Right now, however, I’m going to bed.
