Why don't we ride around on disks all day?

Them hipsters can do it…why don’t we?

I thought hipsters only rode deep fronts or aerospokes, ironically, of course.

Because they are, well, hipsters. Does anything that they do make sense?

I did kinda for a while when I didn’t want to remove my disc cover all the time

Hahahahahaha

Like Jack, I used to ride my disc cover all the time (too lazy to remove it). There are no handling issues with a disc, even in big crosswinds. So the main reasons people don’t ride with a disc:

  1. Fashion
  2. Expensive if you crash one
  3. Saving it as a dedicated race wheel (with dedicated race rubber)
  4. Rough ride (they lack the give of tension spoked wheels)
  5. Training on the road bike

Do those guys always have a pic of Lionel Richie on the wall?

No, they switch it up fairly frequently (if not every video); they SHOULD always keep Lionel on there though.

Yeah I was too lazy to remove my cover after Steelhead and it is still on for Vegas so I rode it yesterday with it and will for my long ride tomorrow. Saves some electrical tape!

That gearing makes my knees hurt just looking at it.

Not really sure what’s going on with the stem poking out of the middle of the head tube, either.

The stem isn’t poking out of the head tube. There are two stems and they stick up out of the fork legs.
Styrrell

who says we don’t?

Ride in denver, by cherry creek reservoir a lot, and I see at least 1 zipp sub 9 out there everyday.

The hipsters do it for a really obscure reason you haven’t heard of…
