Why does NBC do this?

Schedule both the Ironman 70.3 Championship and Silverman Triathlon at the same time?

Ironman 70.3 at 4:30 PM EDT (1:30 PM on the west) on NBC and Silverman Triathlon at 5:00 PM EDT (2:00 PM west coast) on Universal Sports.

In New York, Los Angeles and many other places, Universal Sports is on channel 4.4 and NBC is on 4.1.

And Paris-Roubaix is on a 5pm on VS

I’m not sure, but I watched Silverman yesterday, I had recorded it but I believe it was on Saturday AM. Good coverage, the swim looked absolutely wicked!

But they repeat the ones on Universal.

Thanks for the heads up on the 70.3.

That’s what a DVR is for.

Not a porblem in Sacramento. Crapcast doesn’t carry Universal Sports, so I don’t have to be burdened with deciding.

I’m not sure that this is the exact same video as the broadcast on for the Silverman, but on www.universalsports.com, there is a page for triathlon videos and they have what I think was the 2008 Silverman for on demand viewing in two parts. It covers both the full and the half and features a lot of Dave Scott narrating/hosting. Looks like a broadcast-quality video so check it out.

and picture in picture. Viewing party at our house at 4:30. Come on over.

Where’s the show? I turned on NBC at 3:30 central and no show. Just a frickin’ informercial. Can’t believe this.
