OK this gets better! Today I rode 50 miles and I noticed an intermittent squeak/click (like the sound of a overly tightened nut on the last quarter turn) and it continued throughout my ride. It seemed to increase as I cranked harder. Then when I finish I notice that my new tires (which now on the advise of the thread) I decreased to 130 psi is rubbing on one spot against my frame and creating a slightly flattened section of my tire due to the friction on the spot that was hitting the frame. So…now I don’t know which came first the chicken or the egg i.e. did the rubbing cause my ongoing problem with flatting and was it the source of today’s mystery squeak? First race of the year in two weeks. Don’t panic Jim, don’t panic Jim, DON’T PANIC!!! Any advise would be welcome at this point.
