Most of the other top cyclists were there. Any reason why Lance didn’t show? Was it kind of weenie for him to stay home?
I usually check in daily to the forum but sometimes I’ll miss a few days in a row, especially in summer. Must have missed those threads. Too bad he missed the Olympics, but understandable.
In the last years Lance only tried to win two races a year: L-B-L and the TdF of course. And I don’t remember him competing after the TdF at all.
i was a bit surprised too, considering this olympics was probably his last real chance at winning a gold medal.
why wouldn’t he want to represent his country and try to get a nice shiney gold medal to tuck in amongst all those yellow jerseys? at this point it’s really the only thing he’s missing. we all know he can win the tour (again, and again, and again, and again…)
“Kind of a weenie move on his part”
I can’t really call it a weenie move to say you want to spend time with your kids. His season was all about the Tour. Now that he won it, he gets to go home and hang with his kids instead of busting his ass. He did the olympics before, now it was Tyler’s turn.
Yeah, no matter what people will find a way to criticize. If he shows, he’s a weenie because he’s not spending time with the family. If he doesn’t show, he’s a weenie for not representing his country. Some people just got to complain I guess.
He rides the Giro de San Francisco in September…usually riding for George or Eki.
clm
but too bad the best TTer in the world didn’t win…
Yeah your right mate, it is a pity MICHEAL ROGERS did not win. But rode he a great race.
sure he is… ![]()
of course he was 7.5 minutes slower than Lance the last time they went head to head…
Or maybe he had to “give” some time to his woman
.
NO!!! This was not his last chance to win an Olympic gold. Do you know who you are talking about?
HE IS SUPERMAN.
