Why Bush will lose the election

Now, before people start getting all “emotional”, this is meant to be a irrational thread.

  1. Democrats have successful marketed the “anti-Bush” slogan over “pro-Kerry”. MoveOn.org, Moore and much of Kerry’s talks have centered around Bush’s “problems” rather than Kerry’s solutions. People like complaining rather than offering a solution.

  2. Kerry’s Public speaking. Not unlike the style of Martin Luther King or Jerry Falwell. Very evangelistic. Not as “personable” as Clinton, but more elitist with a strong sense of conviction. Borderline addictive style.

  3. Numbers. When in doubt, confuse people with statics. People generally like anaytical thinkers.

  4. BabyBoomers. The largest percentage of the voting population is just geting over their mid-life crisis. Many have gotten a divorce and lead (or want to) an active lifestyle. Kerry is proof that the dysfuncation American (bad Catholic) values can work. Denial works in powerful numbers.

  5. Status Quo. Americans are lazy. They seek pleasure and assurance that the government won’t do anything except make their life better. People don’t “want” to go to war and generally do not understand National security issues. Kerry’s “promise” to make the nation secure holds more clout than Bush’s actions.

  6. Feeling. People would rather “feel” good than “be” good. Clinton was a master at getting people feeling good about America. I think Kerry’s has done a better job at this.

If you’re going to add to this topic…don’t be rational about the actual issues at hand. I’m more interested in the “marketing” side of the election and perceptions rather than realities.

Kerry “looks” French.

Kerry blinks less, thus making him infinitely more qualified.

Kerry’s telegenic…in a Botox sort of way ;-).
