Why black trisuits?

Doesn’t heat become an issue? I really like my 2XU Super Elite, but it’s color concerns me as a heavy sweater. I know a lot of other companies (Zoot) also do the all black thing.

Have always wondered the same thing. Black is bad when it comes to heat absorption. I think it may be vanity. Black just looks cool.

So that fewer of the finely honed triathletes here on ST recoil in horror at the sight of all of us zaftig folks (aka “fatties”) in clingy lycra/spandex. Black is slimming.

I’m slightly ashamed that this photo didn’t get deleted immediately upon first viewing…

LOL! Great photo for teaching women what we mean when we say “I hang left”…

Thanks for reminding me to never wear RED shorts !!!

Seems to me the benefit of a material’s wicking properties would outweigh the disadvantage of a dark color.

Just curious, are you a cardigan or a pullover?

Those crazy Poles.

But I’m thinking a dark blue. Besides, it does show up in photos on black bottoms in certain photos.

Like maybe dark bottom and light colored top.

Knock yourself out, thought based on above I’d say you want to avoid any colour that produces shadow or contrast.

I’ll be fine without any pics either way…

On a more serious note - I’m sure the material makes a difference. Guys above are all wearing the same short. I’m sure there are material in lighter colors that don’t, uhm…provide as much detail as in the photo above.

I have a white and bright blue running top that are otherwise identical and I feel cooler in the white one on a sunny day.

Those crazy Poles.
You bloody Americans were just jealous. If there would be something, it would even show in black pants.

Cause they look cool! ( but they can get hot ) I wore black for this season but on the hot days I had wished I hadn’t. Next year something lighter.

Isn’t black scientifically proven to be the fastest color?

It is a little known fact that the Trisuit was first developed by a secret US Special Operations Force (so secret it doesn’t exist). That black is the color of choice for “operators” led to its use in all future trisuits, even after the technology filtered down to the civilian market. The whole thing is similar to the black of carbon fiber…

I saw one guy at IMAZ 2006 come out of the water wearing a white tri top and white tri bottoms. I could easily tell that he wasn’t a manscaper. It was scary.

ROFL! Dude, Thanks to you there is coffee all over my desk now…

Don’t stain in muddy water or if it rains and you run in mud, Don’t stain when gatoraid spills on them, when finished and you throw wet clothes all in together no other colors stain them, look good. Match any bike, helmet

Sorry, that was a very poor pun. I deserved it.

Same reason the “little black dress” is popular - it’s slimming!

I’ve seen you, you are not a fattie!
