Can we assume you mean “the lightest personal bike not used for competition” in the peleton? There are a LOT of guys with the lightest bike in the peleton given that the UCI minimum weight is 6.8kg and a large number of bikes in the peleton weigh exactly that.
Based on his comments the last few days, I’m thinking David Millar is one of those guys.
He’s being very forward about his position on doping and not pulling any punches. Kind of nice to see someone show anger about this instead of the usual, “we’re really sad to see that _________ was accused…”
Jens is a way nice guy… he kissed my teammate when we were at one of the Tour stage starts last year… in a very euro way of course. Levi was super approachable too.
From a friend who has met him, Jens Voigt seems very approachable. I certainly root for him. And Zabriskie is really funny, so I root for him. Those two are the guys I cheer for the most…
Are we talking who’s nice or racing style. I was thinking more along the lines of the French Pro Road Racer who went in almost every break from a few years back. I have forgotton his name. He was famous for it. Even going off on 100K breaks on his own, solo. Sometimes it worked many times it did not. He raced in the 90’s mostly. Have not heard his name in the past few years. Had longish hair and wore a bandana. Who was that?
Thank you yes, it was Durand and I do remember that there were more than a few in the Peleton who were not to fond of him because he was always going off the front even on the days that they had all agreed to ride piano!
