Wondering which STers I will see out there!
I have a small thought in the back of my mind to do the half, but my wife will be a couple weeks away from giving birth then, so I’ll have to play it by ear.
Ill be there, im doing the half for sure, but my training is going well, so I may be in for the full. I know the full is a beast…is the half supposed to be pretty tough??? I hope so.

Half is on the same course … its pretty tough! I moved here in Jan and have been riding/running the course … its tough but it’s a great course. Do the full … it will be worth it!

Yeah, im thinking of it…only problem is I have IMAZ like 4 months out, and I m really trying to go fast there…then IMoo 4 months after that.

i was there as support for my borther for the first silverman and it was an amazing experience to say the least. It was by far the most user friendly race that i have ever been too. However my main goal this year is Plaicd with the hope of a Kona, but if things dont go as dreamed i am going to go out and give Silverman a go for sure. The goddie bag alone is worth the price of admission, and unlike M dot races they give you all your goddies before the race not if you finish…Long live Frank!
I am planning on the half. Haven’t registered yet though…anyone know if they will fill the race?

What is the lake temp expected to be? Wetsuit or no?
I used to live there, but I can’t remember when if/we put on wetsuits to swim in the lake.
Im SERIOUSLY considering it(the full), i’ll probably decide in the next week but i would absolutely love to do the race. I think i probably will end up doing it. I might have to get a diff wheelset for the race though. After reading reports on the descents and the winds im thinking a 100 front and disk are definetely not in order. 606 should be about right?
Im not sure about the temp, but im pretty sure its a wetsuit swim, I think the conditions last year were pretty bad, maybe like CDA???..I wonder which was worse.

Were the conditions bad? I think this is #1 or #2 coming out of the water. I am thinking about the 1/2 but need a fully operating set of knees for a climb of Vinson in January. Depends on what IMOO does to me. I figure I can sign up real near to the date.

I think you probably have some time still … but a lot of people are in so far for this year especially for the half
i think a disc is probably a bad idea because the winds get pretty crazy … I raced here earlier this year and I was one of only a handfull of people with a disc and it was pretty scary out there
Anyone know if they are doing the relay again with the 100k purse? I had a blast following that last year.

I think they are in the process of working out the details of that now. I know they want to do it … probably depends on insurance and stuff.
A disc would have been perfect for me for last years race since I had a head wind going our and another coming back in.
