I didn’t know the real starky was still doing stuff?
x2, haven’t heard anything for quite awhile.
Bob’s interviews are a bit bland but if the athlete has personality and is open to talking they can be good, but its a lot of redundant questions, I guess that’s how it goes for lots of interviews going into big events.
Bob sends out too many softball if you questions. Sounds like the generic stuff that pros always get during an interview. Cupcakes is just trying way way way too hard to be funny and he comes off trying to be the story / subject of the interview instead of that he is interviewing. I just don’t take him seriously and honestly is not that funny. Otherwise he is an awesome athlete!
I’ll take TRS. Give him a few shots of the interview process. He will figure it out. Much like his namesake, he is getting used to it. Asking Frodo about the clown show in Olympic Village…awesome.
I’d go with Bob - Cupcakes is too scattered for me. I just saw that there are 2 new podcasts up on the real starky’s site - I will have to give them a listen.
IMTalk’s Kona Coverage is good. Bob puts me to sleep, never found Cupcakes to be funny. Follow TRS on Twitter and so far, that’s enough for me, not interested in the podcast… yet.
TRS interviews are painful to listen….live radio/interviews are not his thing at all. Dark Mark talking in the background and not on mic is annoying. It appears he only was able to get a couple of people to talk to.
I want to hear from the big names and more athletes, so Bob gets my vote……I do wish the questions were a little less soft ball like and a re-hash of history, we know history it already happened.
Cupcakes is a neat gimmick to bring a different slant to interviews. Reminds me of the (Australian) political interview series Kitchen Cabinet where the interviews were conducted while the interviewee and Annabel Crabbe cooked a meal together. Its a little clunky as Callum is still finding his way but its low-key approach is enjoyable to me. He gets good people and asks some good questions. However, to add authenticity, they need to actually eat the cupcakes during the interview. Just looking at them is way too tri-pro.
If I had to pick I’d go cupcakes. TRS has to figure out his mic levels. I crank the volume to 11 and still barely hear him on my computer speakers… and yeah, the other dude commenting off mic isn’t good.
Don’t forget about the IM Talk guys. They just put out their first podcast with a bunch of interviews. They will have several more podcasts with even more interviews.
