P.S. Don’t underestimate the power of good looks in an election year. Naomi Wolf, in the magazine “New York”, talks about the differences between Laura Bush and Teresa Heinz Kerry and how Laura seems to be stealing female support away from the Kerry ticket.
How about Lauren Bush? Not a daughter, but still family, and a model.

I agree with your general premise here but I think it is slightly more complicated than “who looks better”.
I think the Kerry girls look better and are certainly classier but if you ask who would I invite to my prom night kegger it would hands down be the Bush girls.
Kerry’s appear to be more sophisticated, the kind that you’d like to associate with and be seen with at a party, or some type of charity function.
Bush’s daughters would be more fun on a date. Given the fact that their twins, I wonder if you could date both of them at the same time.

The designer surely knows which fabrics disappear with a camera flash. This dress is not even equipped with a “modesty panel”. I am quite certain this is the look Ms. Kerry was trying to achieve and is happy with the result.
Hmmmmmm…that’s food for thought. Maybe she was trying to make sure that she projected an aura of confidence and power. A kind of subliminal way of empowering her fellow young women. A way of saying that, “hey, I’m a feminist AND a sexy woman”? I still stand by my Helen of Troy comparison vis a vis SINKING a thousand ships, though
