Who out there uses The Stick ™? Thanks to all who were involved in a past thread about ITB. I have been using the rolling pin like device ever since I was looking for the majic pill that would keep me running past a 1/2 mile. I think I’m a believer, mostly because of how I feel after a 5-minute session followed by stretching.
Now I would like to know how, or if, you guys out there use The Stick ™. How often? Legs only? Any other creative uses?
I use The Stick, not as often as I should, but more often when I am feeling sore. I use it mostly on my legs, quads and hamstrings. I notice significant improvement the next day.
The Stick feels wonderful on really sore, tender quads and calves. With some wriggling I can use it between my shoulders, too. It doesn’t feel as good on my hams, but maybe that’s just a matter of preference. It’s easy enough to throw in my bag when I’m traveling to a race. I bought one at Wildflower last year and I love it.
They tell you not to overdo it if you use it before a race, but go crazy afterwards.
